 About Me |
i'm curriently completing comparative physiology specialist program with some background in forensic psychology. Before entering into the probram I also achieved William Osler Health Center Biology Award.
Aside from the sciences, i have a deep interest in the arts...an all time favourite pass time. i've been into drawing, painting since very young age, although i've had no formal training as of yet. Every piece is an attempt! Creativity....makes life interesting!
For many years now, I've been working as teaching assistant at Kumon. Working with the very young has got to be the most rewarding experience. It most certainly brings back the innocence in your life that so often fades away in the harsh realities of today's world. Currenly i'm also affiliated with the Toronto Grace Hospital where I'm involved to keep the patient population socially active with their changing and often restricted lifestyle that comes along with complex disabilities. Mostly the patients I work with are old aged who have their whole world to share with you. It's equally if not more rewarding than working with the young ones. I believe if there has to be some understanding, some unity in the world then it has to start here. Nothing happens by receiving big titles and attending formal meetings. The first step to accomplishing anything is to do it one step at a time and that step starts here.....appreciate the things and people in your life, just like for everything else, you have to learn the basics first and everything else then falls in place.This is what my experience working in such environment has taught me. Last but not least...I'm trying to squeeze in time for research on "women in today's society" with the Saratoga foundation.
just for an update.....i've picked up another position as a Research Assistant for Dr. Sandra Trehub at the University of Toronto. She is the director of Infant and Child Studies and has been running the lab for over 30 years!!! so now...juggling two jobs as well as being a full time student....has become a great challenge!!
