About Me

I am a student, studying Biology...I am a member of YAH- Youth Alliance fighting HIV/ Aids the youth group of Stg. Mamio Namen Project. We ( as a group ) focus on HIV/ Aids infected and affected people. It's important to know about all this because i always say: HIV is not written on some ones face and...it's a problem concerning all of us...u just never know!

At the moment we are the only youth group that focusses on infected and affected people, but as the many others we also inform & educate people about Sexual Reproductive Health, HIV/ AIDS, and all the other stuff around these topics.

HIV/ AIDS is a problem concerning all of us, it is global. After so many years of good work from many people around the world the numbers are still very high and may get higher, but...i think it is up to us to make it better eventhough the changes we see are still small in many community's.

Another very important thing concerning this issue is to stop stigma & discrimination... because it doesn't help us to fight the dissease but it only breaks us down.

I recently went to Sydney, Australia for the Oxfam International Youth Partnerships
-OIYP-, i got selected out of 3000 applicants worldwide and the only 1 of my country. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and also an honor for me. I have learned a lot from all the people who were there, many different cultures, colours, faces and so on. But the best thing was & is : ' we all have the same thoughts and want the same things, we are a big family...one world one community. It is a global force for change, because we can and believe that we as youth are abble to help bring & make change. As the biggest group of people on the globe we should be allowed to help our governments to make right decissions for us & others. Many countries are doing that already, which is great ! Others are on their way.

"Cooperation, commitment, communication, unity, friendship, hope& believe are keys to make this world a better place, but...
it is up to us !"

What do we want? What do we need?
We know what we want & we know what we need... so lets get out there and help realize it all. We all need to stand up & speak out togheter.
Can we do it? Yes, we can!
Don't give up, even if it may seem as if u don't really see change... keep on trying !

Keep the smile on your face, it can brighten up someones day or even life !
