Trevor is still rather young, and he’s not quite ready to talk about himself in the third person. I was born and raised in a small suburb nearby the city of Rochester NY. Throughout my life, I’ve always been very sociable, and I continue to meet interesting people everywhere I go. I love traveling, and visiting new places, and experiencing different cultures. I actually love the process of traveling as well; I always meet fascinating people on planes, trains, or buses. And there’s no better way to learn another language or to learn about another culture than traveling. I feel that it is extremely important that youth have the ability to interact with others of their own age from other countries. Either online, or in person, it’s always rewarding experience. I’ve been active in different clubs and organizations since I was in middle school, but I received my first taste of traveling in December 2003 when I was 16. I attended a conference in Boston MA, and I stayed at a youth hostile. At first, I wasn’t really comfortable with the youth hostile because I had heard stories that they weren’t very safe or clean. But during my stay, I spent the nights having fascinating discussions with youth from all over the world, and it was extremely rewarding. I discovered what youth interaction had to offer. Activism against the tobacco industry is another passion of mine, and I have been involved in a group called Reality Check since I was 14. Youth play a very important role in the global struggle against the tobacco industry’s manipulative tactics. It’s important to keep revealing the truth, and informing youth around the world to counter the large presence of the tobacco industry in our society. By chance, I met Michael Furdyk in March of 2004, and I’ve been a proud TIG member since. I volunteer for TIG when I find the time, and I always enjoy my stay in Toronto (usually with a big Indian food buffet!). After graduating from high school last June, I left the United States, for yet another year of high school in France. This year was a pause in-between my formal studies, but it’s a different form of education itself. I was extremely happy with my situation, and my French is came along very well. I started University this fall, and I am studying Political Science and French. During my free time I enjoy playing guitar, photography, music (especially the Beatles!), socializing, writing poetry, eating Indian food, reading, fishing in the wilderness, good comedy, racket sports and skiing.
