About Me |
Dabesaki Mac-Ikemenjima, 25, is the Executive Director of Development Partnership International. He has been a youth activist since 2003 and has been involved with various United Nations processes including the recent review of the World Programme of Youth.
He was involved with UNESCO’s National Virtual Library Project in 2003, was National Focal Point for UNESCO’s International Space Essay Contest in 2004.He has been a consultant to the United Nations Population Fund at different times since 2003 and is currently assisting the African Union in the development of the Pan African Youth Charter.
He is also currently Nigeria’s Representative to the Commonwealth Regional Youth Caucus and has been instrumental to the development of a permanent discussion forum for the network.
Over the next year, Dabesaki is looking forward to advancing his work to look more at advisory roles within National, Continental and Global youth development processes. This he hopes to do through the implementation process of the Pan African Youth Charter and in his role as Co-Founder and Task Force member of the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS. Dabesaki has a broad base of experience in youth development programming and has recently completed a Bachelors degree in Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling.
