 About Me |
I joined TakingITGlobal in June 2007, and as the Development & Communications Manager, I have 2 main areas of responsibility:
a) Business development, in the form of grantwriting, fundraising, sponsorship and alternate streams of revenue.
b) Communications (both internal and external), which includes media relations, publications, coordinating our fantastic graphic design team and other communications needs.
I also represent TIG when necessary at events and international conferences. I also work with several members of the Board of Directors and Advisors on a range of strategic issues.
I consider myself a global nomad, having lived in 6 cities - Vancouver, Singapore, Taipei, Bangkok, Montreal and Toronto. I studied History and Philosophy at McGill University, and before joining the great team here, I worked in education consulting and event planning.
I diversify my spare time between music (listening and playing), watching movies, reading comic books, musing on global politics and being an overall nice guy.
