About Me |
Where do I come from? Nowhere and everywhere. I’m South Korean by nationality, but after having lived overseas my entire life, while being exposed to various different settings and people, I’ve always found wherever I go to be my home. From living in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and now the US, while receiving an American education in an international setting is probably an experience of a lifetime. Although my roots are Korean, a greater part of me cannot be defined by one nationality. Let’s just say, I’m more of a global citizen. Right now I am a college student in Washington DC double majoring in international relations and international business, with a minor in French.
To some, the world may seem hopeless and filled with despair, but I’d like to think it is hope that drives us to keep living. It is the little bit of hope we all hold in our hearts that keeps us believing for the possibility of a better future. Our justice systems may lack fairness, our leaders may only crave power, but any individual with the will and ambition can make a change. It is not so important as to how many people’s lives you influence, than the concept of making a difference in a single person’s life. Power comes from will.
My greatest amazement comes from observing the people around me. Despite the fact that we as individuals may seem to be full of simplicity, we all have different levels of complexity within us. To understand those complexities in ourselves may mean finding the reasons to why our world functions the way it does.
I think I’ve run out of words to say, but feel free to email or leave me message at anytime, all are welcome!
