I have now completed my Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and was admitted as a solicitor in December 2006. I am now undertaking an internship in the Legal Unit of Greenpeace International. Some activities I've been involved in: - Intern, Ho Chi Minh City Child Welfare Foundation in Vietnam - Founder of Illawarra Idealist - Exchange student at Universiteit Utrecht in The Netherlands - Research assistant for a Law Professor in International Comparative Law at the University of Wollongong, Australia, 2005-2006 - Representative at the Security Council at the Asia-Pacific Model United Nations Conference, Sydney, Australia 2006; - Team Leader for the 2006 Vietnam aid program of Oz Quest, an Australian aid organisation, where I worked with local Vietnamese non-profit organisations in Cu Chi and My Lai; - Director for International Court of Justice at the Asia-Pacific Model United Nations Conference, Sydney, Australia 2005; - Intern at the International Institute for Humanitarian Law, San Remo, Italy 2005; - Student at the International Student Symposium on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, The Hague, The Netherlands 2004; - Representative at the Asia-Pacific Model United Nations Conference (1st General Assembly Disarmament and International Security), Sydney 2004; - Volunteer on the 2004 Vietnam aid program with Ozquest. Here I worked at an orphanage in Ba Ria and also at Cat Tien National Park. I completed a 400km bike ride over 5 days in the Mekong Delta; - Australian Ambassador for an orphanage in Zimbabwe; - Volunteer at the Illawarra Migrant Resource Centre, assisting refugees settle in my local neighbourhood; - Volunteer at Human Rights International, an Australian human rights consultancy focusing upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders; - Student leadership roles at the University of Wollongong, including the Student Respresentative Council, Law Society and Academic Senate; - Work at the head office of an Australian bank as a part of my university work-integrated scholarship. Here I worked in various departments including: Treasury, Legal Services, Sales Strategy, Human Resources, Marketing and Information Technology; - Work as a legal clerk for a barrister in personal injury law. I am a strict vegan (no animal products). I try to minimise the harm I do to other people, to animals and to the planet. I hope to somehow leave a positive impact through my life.
