About Me

I presently coordinate Willinghands Volunteers, an online group. Willinghands are young people interested in humanitarian and volunteering activities.

The purpose of Willinghands is to motivate and encourage young people towards making positive contribution to their community whilst realising their potentials through volunteering.

Willinghands aim to encourage and inculcate the habit of volunteering in young people; to make them understand, practice and promote volunteering ideals in their respective local environment as a means of community development and self-actualization.

This online platform intends to initiate varied ways to direct other young people’s attention towards volunteering, encourage them to get involve, inspire others in whatever capacity or ways that will make use of their natural talent, intelligence, and abilities; not only for the general good of their local environment and the world at large, but also for their own personal development.

The Virtualhands Team:

The Virtualhands Team are members of Willinghands Volunteers with option for online volunteering. Members are actively involved in online volunteering in such areas as research, data entry, graphics design, webdesigns and development, online counseling etc.

I equally presently, act as Virtualhands team’s moderator.

I am at the moment a Virtual Volunteer {Country Sites Quick Facts Editor and Organizations Editor} with Taking IT Global (TIG), and also am listed with Grassroots (www.grassroots.org) as a Volunteer Web Designer. Grassroots is an NGO in the United States that gives free legal, administrative and other useful online services to not-for-profits in the United States and Canada. I have helped the organization designs and developed websites for some of their associate organizations like IssuesTV (www.issuestv.com), and the Harambee Leadership Academy, Inc. (www.harambeeinc.org).

" ... several months ago we successfully launched our first official web site. Our web designer was Olalekan Babatunde, a volunteer provided to us from Grassroots.org. Not only did he develop the site; he remains in touch with us on a regular basis for technical support and web maintenance. All of this has been done for Harambee at no cost. I have also received fundraising tips, and information about non profit development through Grassroots.org. Keep up the good work!!!. You are greatly appreciated."
