About Me

Manuella has been involved in monitoring public policies on HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Reproductive Rights since 2006. She worked as a project assistant in the Brazilian organization Gestos, participating in the development of a project that coordinates efforts to monitor the goals on sexual and reproductive rights of the UN Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS in 16 countries in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. She co-facilitated civil society forums to discuss research and advocacy strategies in different countries and participated in regional and international meetings focused on HIV/AIDS. Manuella was part of Brazilian delegation for the UN High Level Meeting Review on HIV/AIDS in 2008 and was also a member of the Advocacy Subcomittee of Mexico YouthForce, for the International AIDS Conference in Mexico.
She has a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and has been studying the involvement of civil society in international decision-making processes.
