About Me   About Me
Miodraga Stefanovska is born on 28th of May, 1983. Graduated on the Institute of Social work and social policy, University "St. Ciril and Metodij", Skopje. She has 9 years experience of working on health and social education with special focus on AIDS prevention in multicultural environment in Macedonia and internationally, particularly in the NGO sector. As a consultant, she offers services in a range of areas relating to Health and Social Development. She represented Macedonia at the UNGASS-Children and HIV/AIDS in New York, 2002. As a GYCA National Focal point she joined the High-level sessions at the 2007 Internationla AIDS conference in Toronto. Recent/ongoing activities include support to the development and the implementation of a successful proposal to GFATM for Macedonia and National Strathegic Plan on HIV/AIDS (2007-2011), participation in a review of HIV/AIDS country analysis UN HIV/AIDS Team Group, UNICEF consultant on VCCT ofr young women and girls, compilation of a toolkit for work with peer educators, students and teachers etc. Formerly, as a member of the executive board of the oldest NGO in the country dealing with health issue, she provided strategic leadership to the more than 11 NGOs with primary focus on building their capacity on health and social communications in multicultural environment promoting HIV/AIDS prevention among MARA in R.Macedonia. As a Focal Point in Macedonia for Global Youth Coalition on AIDS she started the process of joined work and the collaboration between the private buissiness sector and the civic society on the health and social issues and has the responsibility for the coordination of in-country activities. She is currently the Regional Focal Point for South East Europe and Central Asia for the Global Youth Coalition on AIDS.
