 About Me |
Diana Moreka is a young self motivated and focussed Kenyan lady, dedicated to making a difference in the world through positive contribution in social and community development works.She has been involved in community and social work since 1999.Her first experience was when she worked as a volunteer Peer educator at Nairobi Youth Centre. She has also worked with the refugee community at Daadab refugee camp as an intern working with rape survivors. During her stay in Daadab, she conducted a research on the plight of rape survivors and her reccommendations were incorporated on the general strategies of addressing the needs of the survivors. Diana worked as presenter for 2 years in a popular youth radio program sponsored by UNFPA. The program aimed at sensitizing and educating the youth on reproductive health issues including HIV. Finally, she has been involved in various researches ranging from issues on HIV, female genital cutting. Maternal and child issues, poverty and unemployment.
In conclusion, Diana is a dedicated member of takingitglobal and has so far done e- courses; Grantwriting& fundraising and Project management offered by Global Youth Coalition on HIV-Aids ( GYCA).
