 About Me |
Our natural and social environment has always been one of my deepest concerns. I was always the obnoxious classmate who went on rants whenever someone littered or wished that they were old enough to drive a car. I also spent long hours watching World Vision infomercials on Sundays mornings, faced with the teary sick children given no opportunities. It was not until high school that I was able to understand that I could make a direct change aimed at the root of the problem. I realized that tree planting, boycotting environmentally damaging corporations, and giving money to charity are just one of the ways to make a difference. Our natural environment is so strongly tied to our political and social surroundings that the only way that I could ever make a big enough difference in our global situation would be from a political position. The international politics of the present and future will revolve around the depletion and over consumption of our natural resources, and will continue to play a large role in sustainable development of the nations around the world.........essentially I just want to make a difference in today's world......
