I am a doctoral student in the Social Science department at the Maxwell School and hold an MA from the Graduate Program in International Affairs at The New School. My masters concentration was socioeconomic development and my work examined the role of religion and charity in Muslim societies. My current research focuses on contemporary welfare practices in Iran.
