 About Me |
I spent the last 5 years living on the East Coast before returning to my home province of Ontario and Timmins, the city where I was born and raised. I have a BA in English & French from the University of Guelph and an MA in French Literature from Dalhousie University. I most recently worked as a Project Leader for Katimavik in Grand Falls/Grand Sault, NB and then as a volunteer in a Russian orphanage this past fall. I'm committed to putting as much of my energy as possible into meaningful work and am hoping to continue on a career path that reflects my socially conscious ambitions.
I am now the Timmins Youth Engagement Coordinator for TakingITGlobal, a new endeavour that I'm really excited about and proud of. Other than trying to get young people in Timmins excited about TIG too, I'm also working on organizing a youth forum here in town with our local government to get youth talking and acting on the issues that matter to them the most with the support of our community and government representatives.
