I am presently the Co-Facilitator/Trainer for the Creating Local Connections West Africa (CLCWA)-Liberia Project and the Coordinator for my organization’s ICT Programs, The African Child Peace Initiative (ACPI)-Liberia National Coordinator for AFrica Youth for Peace and Development-Liberia Have been selected as National Focal Point for Global Youth Coilation Against HIV/AIDS-GYCA for Liberia 2008 - 2009. I understand that governing the secret of our existence as a human being is an inescapable quest and duty one should perform. It is been challenging especially with the high rate of poverty and also unemployment amongst us youths. In the shortest past, i have traveled around West African corridors, mainly lived on refugees camps for the past years. After my long stay in the Ivory Coast, I travel back home march, 2000 for assessment for possible return and reintegration. My dream was not met due to continue insecurity during the Taylor regime. I travel back and continue on to Ghana also due to the ongoing political stands in the Ivory coast 2001-2002. While in Ghana, I grew interest in working for humanity as a youth involving in child and youth developments. Though I had a course of dream studies as an IT-Professional, my decision to also involve into humanitarian affairs was hugely supported by my eldest brother whose tireless effort for humanity have contributed immensely to peace, conflict resolution and youth development activities both in Ghana and now back home. With my profession as IT – Professional, I believe, I have something to contribute to the nation’s youth development. As a growing desire, seen total calm to conflict and a process of operation sweeping wave as declare by the present government for national development, I have decided to return home July 2006 to contribute to my brother’s effort which have led to the construction of a Multi-purpose Youth Center in one war-affected community, Caldwell, use as a military base by one warlord, Prince Johnson. The goal of the Caldwell Youth Peace-Building Center is to enhance the life skills of youth and their caregivers as to improve their living conditions and their capacity for building a peaceful future for themselves and for Liberia. As a determination to overcome these challenges through positive, empowering actions, I am working on one of the intended projects for the youth center in ICT training for the youth which is intended to make young boys and girls’ self-reliance and be employed to foster the development of our mother Liberia. I have taught computer Literacy in several institutions including the Seventh Day Adventist High School, Monrovia-Liberia. I am more inspired by my present engagement with TIG-CLCWA-Liberia my work with CLCWA-Liberia which i consider the greatest opportunity to be able to share my ideal with other brothers in order to promote the used of ICT to solving problems and connecting with others in the region and worldwide. I am dreaming to travel, share my personal experiences with other young people in other parts of the world.
