 About Me |
Right now, I am living in San Marcos, Texas and attending school. My degree focuses on public relations, but I am a musician at heart and will never give that dream up. I've been a jazz lounge singer for the past seven years, and recently formed a band called The River Hymn.
It seems like life is bringing many different paths to choose from right now. I know that I will be a humanitarian wherever I go...and I am researching African politics and culture in the hopes of going there soon to assist on some projects.
I created a group a while back entitled the Culture Society-a group of intellectual individuals with a deep interest in keeping art and culture alive and prevalent in today's society. Up to date, I have been involved in 10 productions in the theatre....playing various roles from Beethoven's Immortal Beloved, to a mother of an autistic child. I am currently making a living as a singer/songwriter. Art is my life and I have a great passion for all it encompasses.
I'm sure I'm just like the rest of the members of the site....we all just want to make a difference. But in order to truly impact a life, even if it's only one...is very rewarding. Touching lives and living up to our own individual potentials will require risks, sacrifices, success, and failures. But that is what is so beautiful about this life....as time goes on, we begin to understand the complexity of the human condition, and I am ready to make the sacrifices in order to understand it as best as I can...and help in every way possible.
