Bob Harmon is the webmaster for the Irving Independent School District, a public K-12 school district in Texas with over 33, 000 students. The Irving ISD is a majority-minority school district with over 63% Hispanic students.
The Irving ISD website won Best of the Web from the Center for Digital Education in 2007 as the best in the nation for K-12 school district websites. The website has received a variety of awards from NSPRA and TSPRA (national and Texas public relations organizations.)
Bob Harmon went to college at the University of North Texas, taught for 9 years as a high school math teacher, and then has served for the district to promote technology and learning. Currently he is the district webmaster and maintains the district website and its subwebs.
In his spare time he enjoys science fiction, collecting comic books, role playing games, and renaissance faires.
