Caitlin L. Chandler is currently a Project Officer for aids2031 - www.aids2031.org.
Caitlin previously worked for the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS, where she trained young AIDS activists from around the world in Project Management, Political Advocacy, and Grantwriting/Fundraising. She was also involved with a student-run nonprofit, the NYC Student Initiative for AIDS, where she served as the Marketing Director for over a year and a member of the Board of Directors for two years.
In Accra, Ghana, Caitlin served as the 2004 World AIDS Week Director for the West Africa AIDS Foundation. At the Foundation, she oversaw the creation of an AIDS-awareness song, music video and concert that drew over 10,000 people. She was also trained in pre- and post-HIV test counseling and helped with hospice care. Caitlin's involvement in the international public health field continued at Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), where she interned with the Access to Essential Medicines Campaign.
Caitlin later created a digital photography exchange program, Talking With Pictures, between a public school in Accra and New York City (www.nyu.edu/africahouse/foreverybody/talkingwithpictures). She was also the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Brownstone Magazine and an intern at the Village Voice. In March 2006, she traveled to Selma, Alabama to help interview civil rights activists for the documentary Never Lose Sight of Freedom.
Caitlin graduated from New York University with a B.A. in HIstory and Comparative Literature.
