About Me

Chen Mingming is a Chinese student majored in Financial Information Engineering. She loves to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and she has strong enthusiasm in participating in social activities. In college, she has initiated an English club to provide a platform for English learners to communicate with each other. When she is a graduate in Peking University , she began to be a volunteer member. She organized many volunteer activities, including: a training program on First Aid for school students and teachers, a donation of clothes and cash for Tibetan Children, a donation of hematopoietic stem cells, giving publicity to AIDS knowledge to enhance the consciousness of the students on protecting themselves and respecting AIDS patients.

She also engaged in research work, including: investigation on credit and risk management. Her working experience including: working in PKU-ACOM Financial Information Research Center as an assistant, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and Agricultural Bank of China Hunan as an intern.

She has also won many awards and scholarships, including: 2006 the Fourth National Juvenile English Oral Competition “Excellent Tutor”, 2005 National English Contest for College Students Special Prize for Level A, 2005 the Sixth English Speech and Debate Contest for College Students Third Prize

Chen Mingming’s words: I come from Hunan Chang Sha. I can eat very spicy food as most of the Hunan people, but I don’t have that strong and typical character which you can easily distinguish from a Hunan girl. I like arts, food and yoga. Someone once told me “Deciding never worry: Either act and not worry, or not act and not worry”. I love this and I live as a happy little girl.

陈明鸣是一名现就读于北京大学金融信息工程系的中国学生。她喜爱与来自不同国家和地区的朋友交流、工作，因而她十分热衷于社会活动。当她还是一名大学生时，她组织建立了一个校园英语社团，为各位英语爱好者提供了一个亲密接触的机会和学习的平台。进入北京大学后，她成为了一名光荣的志愿者，并组织了和策划了许多志愿活动，包括急救知识培训，艾滋病知识宣讲以提高学生们的自我保护意识，造血干细胞志愿捐献，组织师生为藏娃捐献衣物、现金等。

她同时参加了一些研究工作，集中于经济类，主要包括国内外消费信贷现状研究以及风险控制等。
大学阶段她曾多次获得校级和省级荣誉——年度奖学金，优秀毕业生等。同时她也参加了一些全国性的英语竞赛活动，都取得了较好的成绩——2005全国大学生英语竞赛特等奖，第六届全国大学生英语演讲、辩论赛三等奖，第四届全国青少年英语口语大赛“优秀辅导教师”等。

陈明鸣的话：我来自湖南长沙，能吃辣，但不具有传统的辣妹子性格。我喜爱艺术、美食和瑜伽。我喜欢简单的生活，开心地做人。曾经有个人这样对我说："Deciding never to worry: Either act and not worry, or not act and not worry"，由此我活的更快活，更潇洒。结束研究生的校园生活我将步入社会，在此激励自己，用心做事，相信自己！
