About Me   About Me
"My Country is the world, and my religion is to do good" -Thomas Paine

I use to wonder how I can contribute to make a difference in the world. I have always wanted to stand out from the crowd who show reluctance to pursue excellence. I have realized change lie inside of me. I have learned that little efforts count, and I have accepted all my abilities is given freely by God...and for HIS purpose. Luke Chike Igweobi (middle in the photograph) is committed to transforming and empowering communities. With his over ten years experience in grassroots organizing, the critical issues of Sustainable development, Energy and Climate Change borders him the most. It's sad to see people suffering endlessly due actions or inactions of governments, and bad strategic plans and policies. It's incredible how much poverty, helplessness and hopelessness prevail in Africa where I come from because transformational leadership is lacking. Again, inconsideration and inaction by governments of developed world has exacerbated Africa's pains. Martin Luther King Jr said and I quote: "The developed nations of the world cannot remain in a seething sea of poverty. The storm is rising against the privileged minority of the earth, from which there is no shelter in isolation and armament. The storm will not abate until a just distribution of the fruits of the earth enables men everywhere to live in dignity and human decency"

I'm working to see my little efforts as an integral part of the change the world is asking for. I'm always willing to connect with people who share my passion for a better tomorrow. I have been greatly inspired by the life and works of my friends: Jared Duval, Meg Boyle, Billy Parish and Rachel Ackoff. I was born and raised in Nigeria, on the West Coast of Africa, and I hold a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Lagos. I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Management, - Healthcare Administration, at the New England College in New Hampshire, and I work at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston,- a Harvard Medical School Teaching Affiliate.

At my leisure, I enjoy :
* Nature Photography...my new camera phone is just awesome..
* Playing the Guitar,...I own an Acoustic and an electric, taught myself how to play and have been playing for 4 years now..
* Gardening
* Creative writing...I've written a bunch of poems in the time past but I regret losing my manuscript (poem notebook) in my cause of relocating around the globe.
* Praying & Bible Study... I always pray that leaders would learn to lay down their lives, and that governments would understand the essence of their existence and their role in securing a sustainable future
* Painting...guess it runs in the family, my elder brother holds a bachelors in Fine Arts and does fantastic oil painting on canvass.
* Baking and Cooking has become my regular weekend routine.
I also enjoy hanging out with friends, but I value my personal quite time... singing and playing my acoustic guitar has become most inspiring thing at such times!

"This world demands the qualities of youth: not a time of life but a state of mind, a temper of the will, a quality of imagination, a
predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the
love of ease." -Robert F. Kennedy
