About Me   About Me
Federico is a native of Northern California and the son of Argentinean immigrants to the United States. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Government at the London School of Economics and an Analyst with the Oakwood Group, a Private Equity firm. Federico completed one year of coursework as a Master in Public Policy candidate at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. A graduate of Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs, he is also a Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) Fellow, and attended the PPIA Summer Institute at UC Berkeley in the summer of 2004.

Federico has a track record of connecting ideas with action. He has actively engaged with international development initiatives since high school, as a liaison in Perú to launch the first Proyecto Plata initiative, as an instructor at UC Berkeley ATDP’s innovative Internet Classroom, and as an active member of the World Summit on the Information Society Youth Caucus. Most recently, Federico founded Juvenis, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides an innovative web portal serving U.S.-based immigrant youth.

Federico has a growing interest in immigration law and policy, and in the role of private sector financing to support development initiatives. In 2004 he published a paper for the MIT Press Journal for Information Technologies and International Development on network-forming among U.S. Latino immigrant communities. In 2006 he published a paper on transnational migration policy for the St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award in St. Gallen, Switzerland. He is a contributor to the Harvard Journal of Hispanic Policy.

Federico has worked for the U.S. government at state and federal levels, has deferred a position with the Foreign Service Officer corps to pursue his studies, and has traveled widely throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa. He speaks native Spanish and conversational French.
