About Me |
I am Irina Druta. My country of origin is Moldova. I am 21 years old and I am a second year student and my minor is Marketing and Logistics. I also had the chance to study one year in Wisconsin, USA as I was awarded a scholarship from the US Department of State through the program IREX UGRAD. As extracurricular activity I am totally into Y-Peer if I was to rate all my time with 100% then I would rate with 50% the time I am spending for volunteer work for the Y-Peer Network. I have been in Y-Peer for about 4 years and I have to say that it made and still makes a huge difference in my life. If I was to describe a little bit what exactly I am doing: I am constantly writing reports and little articles on every event that takes place; I am always in the office so that colleagues call or come to the office and talk to me in order to find out the latest news, or to get some advice, or to ask how to get involved in some activities; I am the coordinator for the Theatre Techniques Based Peer Education and every two weeks I am getting the “actors” together to rehearse and to introduce some new scenes to our performance collection; there are also our traditional IEC campaigns; it is not only about organizing, evaluating and giving feed back for all these events, I am also taking part in every event possible; I am actively involved in the standardization process of the Y-Peer National Network; I am a member of the working group in developing and supporting the YFC; I am also representing my country in several national and international events, etc. If talking about me personally, I have been told several times that I am very adaptable, very flexible, hardworking, sincere, tolerant, and sociable with good communication and leadership skills. I am also eager to learn as much as possible. I like summer because it is: green- full of life; yellow- warm and with long days; plus many other colors- it offers a wide variety of possibilities on how to spend the time. My life guidance: There is always a possibility/an opportunity/an exception you just have to work more and work harder to get to really deserve it, but don’t forget to smile, to be open-minded and always offer and get positive and constructive feed back.
