He is working also for Rwanda Rwanda Village concept Project (RVCP www.rwanda-vcp.org). ),especially the micro project in charge of HIV/AIDS awareness, reproductive health and family planning of Rwanda-VCP, Currently he is the National focal point of the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS in Rwanda 2007. Jean Claude Mugunga is experienced community based Project manager ,with enough experience in Peer Education and he has been working with underprivileged communities especially young people living in rural areas since 2003, where he has been advocating the role diseases prevention in poverty reduction especially prevention against HIV/AIDS among young people .He has been working in HIV/AIDS awareness, reproductive health and Family Planning Micro project of RVCP till he Became the Vice Coordinator of RVCP in January 2007 He participated in creation of different AntiHIV/AIDS clubs in Huye, south region of Rwanda. He is an experienced person in Rwandan culture especially in Rwandan traditional dance, where he have helped to strengthen the NUR Traditional dance Troup that he Headed till 2005. After realizing the many myths related to reproductive health and HIV/AIDS in rural areas, he started creating the link between the Rwandan culture reproductive healths in order to fight against HIV/AIDS He is one of the co-founders of different projects under MEDSAR that are running different activities in South Province of Rwanda aiming to teach women about family planning, Organizational development and democracy etc. In addition to this his successful experience from the field on HIV/AIDS and reproductive has been selected by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health/Center for Communication Programs to be among the best five successful voices from the field on HIV/AIDS, Sexual and reproductive health integration worldwide (http://tigurl.org/td87pn Now member of the International Advocacy group, within the IAWG on reproductive health and HIV/AIDS in Emergencies situations, he participated in different trainings: on interactive teaching, Project management, fundraising, leadership, peer education in sexual and reproductive health and rights, Leadership and democracy, Team Building, Fundraising. About his National and International highlighting appearances, he participated at the last four Butare medical Congress ,presented at the international conferences on reproductive health and HIV/AIDS, Hygiene and Sanitation issues in Kenya,Uganda,Finland,China and USA He is interested in infectious diseases especially AIDS, acted as the chair of the scientific committee at the East African medical and Pharmaceutical students AIDS Conference 2007 and he‘d like to be specialized in Community medicine,Infectious diseases and epidemiology and to become a researcher in infectious diseases especially AIDS. The aim of his work is to give updated information related to HIV/AIDS to young people who live in rural areas, and to be involved in HIV/AIDS research in order to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS.
