 About Me |
I had the pleasure of being the Alberta Youth Engagement Coordinator for Creating Local Connections Canada in 2008-2009 while completing my Master`s degree in Health Promotion at the University of Alberta. I learned a lot about capacity building and collaboration in this role and am able to apply this to my current research position, where I hope to evaluate how policies, programs and school practices contribute to the health of children and youth in my home province of Nova Scotia. I am very interested in how we might be able to engage youth on both local and global health issues throughout all stages of program development, evaluation and public advocacy.
