 About Me |
I am a global investor and activist in The Hunger Project (www.thp.org), a strategic organization and global movement committed to ending the persistence of hunger through unleashing the human spirit and empowering hungry people to build lives of self-reliance and dignity. I am presently serving on the board of directors for THP Canada.
My career has spanned over 25 years in the information technology field, the last 10+ specializing in information security and privacy. I am currently a senior technical executive at a security software firm.
I have lived most of my life in and around Toronto, Canada, although I've had the opportunity to travel extensively (mostly for work) to many parts of the world. Over the past couple of years, my daughter and I travelled together with The Hunger Project to launch new initiatives in Africa and South Asia.
I also enjoy camping, canoeing, sailing (in my youth, I ventured on a square-rigged sailing ship where the motto was "building character through adventure") and reading non-fiction, esp. philosophy, history, civics and science.
