YOUTH PARTICIPATION and VOLUNTEERISM He began his youth participation and volunteerism in public, when he was elected as SK Councilor in his barangay in Digos City on July 15, 2002. As SK official, he sought more opportunities for the good and welfare of the youth not only in his barangay but also in Digos City as a whole. Recently among the SK officials nationwide, he was appointed by Pocholo de Leon Gonzales, the founding president and Chief Executive Officer of the VOICE OF THE YOUTH NETWORK (www.voty.org), an information advocacy youth organizations whose aim is to inspire, inform and involve the Filipino Youth as the VOTY-SK National Coordinator. He had attended some various seminars and conferences with regards to youth affairs namely: 1st Youth for Environment Summer Camp 2003 on April 30 - May 4, 2003 at Teachers' Camp, Baguio City; 3rd Mindanao Rizal Youth Leadership Institute on October 22 - 26, 2004 at Gardenia Guesthouse, Cagayan de Oro City; Kabataan sa Mindanao NATIN: Davao Regional Encounter sponsored and hosted by the National Youth Commission last June 22-24, 2004 at Davao City, as the sole representative of SK Digos City and Voice of the Youth Network. He rendered his service as the only youth volunteer for the local celebration of World Population Day on July 11, 2004 at Digos City in coordination with the City Population Office under Ms. Noemi Suico and Ms. Theresa Ypil of Provincial Population Office. On July 12 -14, 2004 he attended the Convention of the Rights of the Child and Family Strengthening and Community Advocacy Trainors' Training organized and hosted by the Bantay Bata 163 Davao City, as the only SK and youth delegate of Digos and Davao City. He recently attended the 5th National Youth Parliament on October 26-29, 2004 at Casa blanca Hotel, Legazpi City, Albay, representing the voice of the youth and as the city representative of Digos City. Before, leaving from Davao going to Legazpi City to attend the 5th National Youth Parliament, he attended the ARAL KABATAAN! Education Series: Adolescent Reproductive Health Seminar and Workshop for Sangguniang Kabataan conducted and organized by the Development of People's Foundation, Inc. of Davao City last October 23-25,2004 at Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City. Again under the DPF, Inc. of Davao City, he attended another seminar - workshop under the ARAL KABATAAN! Education Series: An Introduction to Gender - Fair Leadership Seminar - Workshop for the Sangguniang Kabataan as one of the four delegates from SK Officials in Digos City on February 25 - 27, 2005 at Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City. He also attended various SK congress namely: the ISKOLAR-BOS, Y2004 SK National Congress on March 28-31,2004 at Bacolod Convention Plaza Hotel, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental which leads him as the only one from 3 delegates of the said congress to re-echo it during their 1st Digos City SK Congress last April 25-28,2004 at Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City. At age 17, he involved himself into the entertainment industry by organizing concert events which his first project was he brought in Digos City, one of the popular and hit bands in the country, which brings Mr. Suave famous among us, the Parokya Ni Edgar, this was a beneficiary concert for the SK Zone 3's project Multi-Media Library. His first project was the primer motivation of the people in Digos City during the Y2003 made 3 concerts in a row. Salbakutta and Slapshock also performed the hot stage of Digos City Astrodome. He is currently connected with the HOTJOXX Productions as the line producer and production manager, a production of 88.9 HOT FM disk jocks of Digos City and they're planning to bring again Slapshock in concert this coming Summer2005, it will be dubbed as "SLAPSHOCK Strikes 2" Digos City Concert in coordination with Wise Ad and Promotions.
