 About Me |
I am a post graduate student of Rural Development and Gender Studies from SAIT (South Asian Institute of Technology), Nepal, currently working as a research assistant at NGO Forum for water and sanitation. Since my college years, I have always been involved in various humanitarian issues such as raising awareness on HIVAIDS, women rights, fund raising for natural disaster victims etc. in India.
Poverty (both urban and rural), gender, sustainable development, environment, globalisation, youth has always been a part of my domain of interests. I have published articles, presented papers and have gathered work experiences from various NGOs in Nepal related to meeting Millennium Development Goals such as water and sanitation, natural disaster management, women empowerment, human settlement etc.
As a part of my university course, i am currently doing a research on "water crises in squatter communities of Nepal - Women as victims and agents of change " for my thesis.
