Please feel free to contact me for more information.

My name is Prerna Chandak and I’m currently in 3nd year of my B. Comm. Honours at the University of Windsor. I plan to graduate with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics. Professionally, I work as a Researcher for an MBA professor at the Odette School of Business. I am also a Propriety Trader for a big trading firm in Canada.

Alongside work, I love to volunteer and give back to the community in any way that I can. I am currently working with The Corporation of The City of Windsor as a Co-Chair to the newly established Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee.

I enjoy debating as a member of the Odette School of Business Debate Team and working with other organizations like AIESEC and SHiNE to help make a difference in our community.

I have always been interested in giving back to my community. Through my three years in high school, I completed almost 750 hours of community service while working for different organizations and magazines. Besides MYAC, I have worked for Youthmedia Student Publications, YouCAN Canada, WSIS Youth Caucus, Global Youth Alliance, World Assembly of Youth, Kids Can Free The Children, International Youth Parliament, Nike Watch, Voice of the Youth Network, The Mississauga Poetry Society for Teens, Springbank Visual Arts Centre, The Canadian Cancer Society, World Vision Canada, and Leaders Today. These are just a few organizations to name. I still work for many of these organizations.

The community I envision is one bound by peace and equality. I dream of a community were people shall resolve their problem with words and not with harmful actions; where everyone is treated according to their conduct and not their gender, race or income and, where everyone can respect one and other.

I give back to the community because I care about the environment we live in. I care about the fact that children are mistreated, women are abused, education isn’t a priority, youth – the next generation of leaders are not voiced, and the environment is being ruined. I am no political leader, nor am I a famous missionary. But I am a citizen of the global community and I feel that it is my duty as a citizen to help in any way that I possibly can, in order to better this world. Every little bit counts and if both you and I did our share of work in making our communities better, with minimal effort, this world would definitely become a better place to live in.

In my spare time, I love playing sports (tennis, golf, rugby, football, soccer, swimming, volleyball, basketball, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, boating), dancing (ballet, modern dance), debating, volunteering, working, meeting new people, writing, spending time with friends, watching tv/movies, listening to music, traveling (the rest of the world that awaits), inspiring others, going for the impossible, thinking, sleeping, shopping, laughing, talking and lots more...

If you are interested in pursing a joint project of any sort, feel free to contact me!
