About Me

I am a science graduate and am a professional trainer working with NGOs, GOs and Private Sector in Sri Lanka. My specialised fields are Mind Training, Personality Development, Productivity Development and Advanced Skills Taining. I have served in Community Development and Environmental Development field for about 10 years.

I have worked at Plan International - Sri Lanka (USA NGO), FORUT - Sri Lanka (Norwegian NGO), Mary's Friends Foundation (Norwegian NGO) etc.

I am a founder member of Green Movement of Sri Lanka. I was the environment committee leader and consortium secretary of NGO National Action Front of Sri Lanka.

At present I work hardly for Trauma Management and Mental Rehabilitation of Tsunami victim women, children and youths in my country. In Sri Lanka we have to do so many things for our Tsunami affected people because the heavy damage occurred. In near future I have planned to implement an Advanced Living Skills Development Program for these Tsunami affected youth to start their life and to face life’s challenges with determination, courage and hope and to involve actively with other rehabilitation and reconstruction activities.

I am planning to launch a special Community Tourism Program with interested people in the other countries to assist them to visit Sri Lanka and to feel the real Sri Lankan culture and hospitality. In this program there are two parts. The first part is for youths. The program will assist youths or youth groups in other countries to visit and stay in Sri Lanka to do their volunteer activities, special researches or other cultural visits in Sri Lanka. Under this program Sri Lankan youths will be organized to share experiences with these foreign youths in order to develop their advanced living skills and global thinking. As the second part of this community tourism program, I hope to give special attention for foreign senior citizens to make necessary arrangements to stay in Sri Lanka with Sri Lankan families during their winter season. Natural healing, Meditation, Aurvedic therapies, Reiki healing, Traditional mind relaxation etc will be included in this program. They also can do volunteer activities and other community development works during their stay in Sri Lanka.

I wish to meet people and groups in our global village with same interests to develop these activities with their ideas, knowledge, experiences.
