Member of the Trainers team of the Group “Lets...”

Group “Lets...” - Belgrade (www.hajdeda.org.yu) have created a team of trainer from Serbia and Montenegro which are experienced in different field. This is a first attempt in SCG in order to conduct a national Pool of trainers.

Trainee at Resource center for South East Europe and Slovenian National Agency of YOUTH program of European Commission
Period of traineeship: September-November 2003
At the beginning of the September 2003 SEE Resource center start to implement the program of the trainees in cooperation with European Commission, Directorate for Youth and sport, structures of the governments within the SEE in charge of the youth policy and Slovenian Government.
Traineeship program offers better introducing of the YOUTH program of the European Commission, its role and responsibilities as well as better understanding of the European youth policy. Youth NGO Youth House is founded by the group of the activists of different NGO`s mostly dealing with the youth issues (trainings, youth policy, preparation and realization of the projects) with the one main aim: to promote the youth of Serbia and Montenegro their creativity and autonomy trough informational, educational, activities concerning youth participation and general visibility of youth.

Project aims to encourage youth leaders from South Serbia region in active participation in youth initiatives dealing with human rights. Training for 20 youth leaders on themes such as general human rights, social inclusion, civil society and participation was the introductory phase of the project. After the training participants were on active visits in more the 30 NGO dealing with human rights and participation in order to improve their knowledge.
I was responsible in project management, incl. project preparation, reporting and evaluation of the project as well as trainer (training is prepared and conducted following the methodology of the Compass – manual on human rights education with young people, Coe 2002)

CeSID Nis began to implement the program of the long-time training of the regional coordinators from 23 offices from Serbia. Main aims of the project were: to introduce to the participants concept of the civil society; to prepare participants to be able for project management incl. fundraising, PR; to develop a strategy for future activities within the mission of Center for free elections and democracy

Objectives of the project are creating a database of NGO`s of IDPs in Serbia. Second part of the project is an education in fields of NGO management (project proposal writing step-by-step, working in team, strategic planning etc.) and non-violent conflict resolution. Project is being implemented in territory of Serbia excluding Kosovo. More than 150 active participants and 130 NGO were involved in project, including in that number and 80 participants of the 4 module training.

Responsibilities: As a program monitor in ALTNET project, which “Protecta” is acting in as an implementation partner of IRD, I was responsible for humanitarian aid monitoring in field, and also for communication with vulnerable groups, updating lists of potential beneficiaries as well as creating a database with reference to gathered information from field work.

From may 2001 I was involve in more than 30 training activities (app. 100 days of training maintained plus app. 90 preparatory days) as a trainer in human rights issues, non violent conflict resolution and project management. Themes which I done most often are: general human rights, participation, intercultural learning, diversity, project management.

-2002/03 Human rights/nonviolent conflict resolution – Trainings for empowering youth from South Serbia to take a part in elections (more than 10 workshops in South Serbia participation, civil society, non violent communication+3 day training on general human rights, intercultural learning)

CeSID (Center for free elections and democracy)

CeSID is the biggest NGO in Serbia, with 22 offices, 50 professional staff and 19000+ volunteers.
Responsibilities: I was responsible for conducting trainings for CeSID volunteers for September-December 2000 elections. I have conducted 8 trainings for 120 volunteers. In addition, I have been included in all CeSID Nis activities from July 2000 to date (supervising elections in Serbia September-December, 2000; assistant of coordinator for IDPs’ registration in South Serbia process 2001; supervising elections for Kosova/Kosovo parliament; member of CeSID mission in Bulgaria during presidential elections 2001; all other program activities of CeSID Nis office). Also, I’m responsible for conducting training for CeSID coordinators in the field of project proposal writing.
