 About Me |
Stephanie is a Swiss American who currently resides in Lebanon where she is interning at the United Nations, after having obtained a certificate in Arabic from the American University of Beirut.
Stephanie became involved with global development at McGill University, where she took on several leadership positions with AIESEC, an international non-profit organization committed to improving cross-cultural relations. Upon graduating from McGill, she moved to Tunisia as a Cultural Envoy for AIESEC, where she trained members to run the organization more effectively, helped initiate projects to get youth more involved in the organization, and developed ties with community leaders.
After returning from Tunisia, Stephanie moved to Washington, DC where she worked with a think tank providing world leaders with strategic insights on current and emerging global issues and, shortly after, with an independent non-profit organization promoting cultural communication between the Middle East and the United States through media.
Prior to her arrival to Beirut, Stephanie organized the DC Cinema Palestine Film Festival, an independent grassroots initiative dedicated to developing greater understanding of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The festival raised more than $5,000 for an NGO program that feeds over 12,000 children in more than 100 preschools in Gaza with milk and biscuits fortified with nutrients and vitamins.
Stephanie has participated in several international and regional conferences on issues of world leadership, global politics, cross-cultural communication, and international relations.
