Tawe is a dynamic young man, belonging to the new ‘breed’ of youths who think youths can make the difference. In the present dispensation, he believes youth empowerment and participation is the way out of the present status quo currently rocking the developing world. With this in mind, he served/volunteer with a number of civil society organizations, and has taken part in a number of conferences, workshops etc on a wide range of societal issues.
Tawe has for a while been working with youths and an advocate and promoter of the MDGs. He has been able to organize talk shops, training sensitization on HIV/AIDS. He has been able to rally some youths and recently created a youth association, the Centre for Empowerment Towards Development. With main objective: Working with youths and the underprivileged to empower and refining potentials for development.
He believes that despite the plethora of problems rocking the developing world there is a silver lining in the horizon, provided citizens adopt more responsible attitudes towards their country. He recommends a genuine fight against corruption and embezzlement, accountability and above all grant all equal opportunity to all and sundry. This zeal accounts for his voluntary participation as independent observer in the July 22, 2007 twin elections in, Cameroon in a project for “Good governance in the Cameroon’s 2007 Electoral process” Initiated by the Community Initiative for Sustainable Development (COMINSUD) sponsored by Bread for the world Germany.
He volunteers at the human rights centre of the Global Conscience Initiative.His involvement with human rights activism came in the aftermath of the student unrest at the University of Buea where armless protesting students were brutally murdered by trigger happy security men. He was responsible for; human rights intervention, counseling victims of rights violation and human rights monitoring.He has written a couple of poems and articles in this light
He is currently coordinates a number of abstinence in some schools in Kumba.Where they use non-judgmental technics and scientifically sound reasons to convince youths to abstain from sex till marriage. He is co-presenter of "Health Issues" a one hour program over the ocean City Radio , a community based radio station in Kumba.
For a better world he wouldn't cease praying..
