About Me

My name is Jean Claude KAMWENUBUSA, a proactive young Burundian and Christian who has been volunteering for social changing since 2001. I am a Founder-Executive Director of instituted charitable organization formed for the purpose of founding a Community Health and Social Welfare facility, « ASSOCIATION POUR LA SOLIDARITE ET L’ASSISTANCE SOCIO-SANITAIRE (ASASS-BURUNDI) a.s.b.l », a not for profit youth& youth-adults led

I with other team have been contributing towards the re-development and rebuilding of their communities, through volunteering services, for 7years. I have experienced in implementing and coordinating the Youth and adults Activities and programmes which have had a ripple affected on the other youth and thus contributed to making a difference in the whole country.

Mostly my activities are concerned to stimulate young Burundian to get involved into research in health, Economic empowerment, development and the decision-making process so that they can become economically and socially powered. We help them to become human resources and no a problem in the community where they lives, which lead to A BETTER WORLD 4 ALL (ABW4ALL!)

For enhancing my skills through practical experiences, I have participated as a volunteer in various youth-led and adult projects locally and internationally in the communities. These activities have also contributed to my concern about different cultures and habits/attitudes as being mostly carried out together with people of other nationalities or religious and social background.

Currently I am a leading this charitable NGO (ASASS-BURUNDI=Christian), a not-profit making, which has a single vision of « saving lives of 1.000.000 humans and overcome social plagues and build a better world of Sisters and brothers» We believe strongly in the power of Positive change, Cooperation-Solidarity mutual aid and through Mutual aid between young and adult people.

Through my long-lasting sports career I have gained the ability to live and volunteered as a part of a team, necessary for field volunteer. Have experienced long-term in several foreign countries, I have discovered my positive attitude towards international and multicultural environment.

I am member of youth Organisation in the University of Burundi (Association pour la Promotion des Nouvelles Technologies de l’ Information et de la Communication (APNTIC-BURUNDI) a.s.b.l and held post of Director of marketing, communication and publicity since its 2003 till today 2008. I carried out activities like sensitization campaigns the youths about HIV/AIDS and ICT, capacity building, trainings, seminars, amongst others and Organized World Youth Forum there. Currently I am researching issues ICT and Social Plague and grassroots development. I have started research in APNTIC-Burundi research Centre, University of Burundi, room Faculty of Sciences, Economic and Administrative since May-2007

- I am continuing to learn from each others from FOUNDATION FOR CHRISTIAN YOUTH LEADERS LIVING new program in ASASS-BURUNDI and trying to get to know how young people can become courageous in helping one another at the point of personal and common / global need, discover how to live genuinely in this fast-paced complex world.

The annual them for the 2008-2009 is: Effective Youth Leadership for Christian living and sustaining community. The link is under construction and it will shortly be communicated to you!!!

- I am also helping local youth to understand the burden of HIV/AIDS/STDs and other infectious troubles, through GLOBAL YOUTH COALITION ON AIDS-GYCA, save as ta NATIONAL FOCAL POINT (NFP) in Burundi since 2006-2007. in partnership with more than 120.000 youth NGOs, including TAKING IT GLOBAL, we inspire, involve, organise, coordinate and assist youth Organisation in the communities in UN countries and other developing worlds many projects was created and youth are day to day initiated.

- I am one member representative of Village Suisse ONG in Burundi since January 2006.

- Youth are my target; I have worked with youth since a long time, in the primary, secondary and university schools. Together with them, we have created youth Club Challenge in the schools which are going on in the topics of HIV/AIDS education & prevention, and this task is being facilitated by Youth AIDS Councils, AIDS Ministries, and other donors. I have also worked as volunteers for a number of organizations.

- I am now need to enhance my ability in running workshop seminars, trainings peer educator, Youth assisting by exercising on creating and executing international expansion strategies, developing Youth Institution, help to those need Strategic plans, Drafting Business plan, looking for web site for funding, Charity NGos and advise on program evaluation methodologies to measure the reach of goals.

- I am trained in LONG and SHORT Courses by UN ANGENCIES and ONG and every training was punished by A CERTIFICATE: USAID, WORLDBANK, ASASS-BURUNDI, CWMF, LMS, MINISANTE, GYCA, UNFPA, APNTIC-BURUNDI, CNLS-BURUNDI, AUF-BURUNDI, YOUTH AIDS-CLUB, UNICEF

- In order to go on improve my abilities in research and training I am helping people and youth by training them, Organisational issues, in various domains. I LIKE VERY MUCH TO WORK IN MY LOCAL COUNTRY! So have undertaken big project of helping LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO BE DEVELOPED and I will begin other topics such as REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH , ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT and ENTERPRENEURSHIP SKILLS from 2008.

- Rather than that, I have helped many people in other field such as of Recovery hurts through Worship and praise songs = GOSPEL MUSICS: I believe that arts have a great impact on the change of the world. I used to Singing, Playing Piano in the Team named WORSHIP TEAM since 2002-2007 and now I am in the Ministry “SHEMEZA MUSIC” www.shemezamusic.org with Honoured Mr. Apollinaire HABONIMANA and David –Tresor NDUWIMANA at LIFE CENTER CHURCH, a place where people receive LIFE from our Almighty GOD. Welcome one day and you will be blessed! (only one TIG member came at church in 2007 from EUROPE.

I believe that the truth will set all youth free and walking in the light is the only path of Fellowship. My rising voices it to call all Youth a cross the world to become a righteousness of the countries because OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS:
- Learn from us
- Practise from us

These mean that “we are their mirrors in which they see their image”

That why I can say: It is our responsibility not to allow sin to reign in our mortal bodies by not using it as instruments of Unrighteousness. (2 Rom: 12-13)

- I am ready to facilitate any suggestion, proposals and working closely with any Organisation with not profits!!!!
