NUTSHELL : MY TERRITORIES My commitment to creating functional societies includes integral interest in omnicultural, holistic learning, innovative cultural bridging, ethical values, the children of nature, disseminating best practice approaches to new civil participation, implementing global law, netizenship, using ICT for meaningful communication and information in a new media culture, a new culture of travelling replacing tourism, establishing new models of earth-literate leadership, responsible governance and decision-making for safeguarding and protecting the global commons. My engagement has led to encounters with many outstanding personalities from the realms of science, civil society, education, learning, democracy, the arts and youth leadership, representatives of traditional cultures, spiritual leaders and healers. I live in Berlin, running an adventurous camp with a nice fireplace, veggie garden and busy virtual cockpit, while having a tenth of an eye on the pulse of the city, occasionally rushing to key events and meetings with other project captains. Cherishing the view from the top, I spend quality time with cross-disciplinary elders providing aspiring young people with perspectives from atop their seasoned shoulders. A BIT OF A BIO :: Eric was born into a family of franco-german teachers in 1971 and spent his teenage life on travelling and sports; handball and volleyball, one of the sweetest memories is the 1:0 fast break vs Israel national team. The rest of his time basically went into drawing, music, movies and the fantasy role playing board game Dungeons & Dragons; in six hours a day for five years, his triade of co-players probably developed the most massive, toughest and magical universe ever created in the genre. The same accounts for the series of 4 deck-techno parties and the founding party of Camp Weltgeist. But all those are different stories that will not be relived, so - now for something completely different... In 1992, Eric started teacher training studies in Germany. In 1995, Eric spent an intense one year study experience in Perth, Western Australia, followed by journeys all around the continent. In 1996/97, Eric became the last student of Nupa Tatanka, a universal scholar with Lakotah-Inuit roots. Not only was this time filled intensely with authentic learning time on indigenous worldview, history, values, spirituality, healing, achievements, community, society and bottom lines, but - building on his teacher's track records in the domains of the sixties movement, cultures, tradition, history, sociology, psychology, teaching, diplomacy, media, festivals, adventure, travel, business entrepreneurship, teaching, human relations and living dreams. The "circular world" of holistic societies was contrasted with a non-stop journey into the "linear world's" dys-functional heart of the USA, meeting red, black, brown, yellow and white people, millionaires, trash, druglords, bankrobbers, killers, bleeding-heart liberals, new age gurus, hippie kids, gays, hyppocrites, apples and oreo cokkies, - a flight on top of the labyrinth of industrial society, offering exceptional and fundamental insights. 1997-2004: Back in Europe, Eric has collected experiences in running a ranch commune, founding a family, series of parties, events, concerts and spectacles, publishing magazines, tourism, ALL music styles, entertainment, graphic, print and webdesign, co-editorial online technology, various jobs "on the marketplace", labour rights, exploring and uncovering unethical business enterprises, youth projects, public relations, sustainability networking and information design. In 1999, Eric finished his teaching degree, learning precious lessons on avantgarde teaching curricula (New Phys. Ed curricula 1998, of Lower Saxony, Germany). In 2000, Eric spent five months at the Universal World Exposition expo2000 in Hannover, Germany, http://expo2000.de/expo2000/index_e.htm#, a perfect long term Informal Sustainability Learning Environment. This is where Eric met with many leading thinkers, movers, shakers, talkers, representatives, blockers and responsibles of the world, discussing global issues and - especially - visions for new online-based learning environments building cultural bridges and sharing cultural knowlegde, wisdom and competences. Eric joined Positive Nett-Works Association http://www.worldfutureschool.org/index.php?id=490 in expo 2000's final future-raft phase. Here started his involvement in creating "participatory public spaces for sustainability learning and networking"; see http://worldfutureschool.org/index.php?id=490 for ensuing projects. Since then, Eric has inaugurated http://www.pnyv.org (Official Project of the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development 2005-2014) and http://www.tribaltravel.org (contribution to the United Nations Decade of Indigenous People 2005-2014) in cooperation with recognised leaders in positive innovation, see http://www.worldfutureschool.org/index.php?id=601. JOIN IN to utilise these projects for enhancing your positive activities and reaching out to a larger public through schools and ohter sectors!!! + + + + + + + + + + + + + IV.
